The Zones in Pokemon ZA make Lumiose City a great place for you to explore, each with different Pokemon for you to catch. However, not only are these places great for filling out your Pokedex, but they're also home to TMs, which can give your Pokemon access to some powerful moves. Luckily for you, we're on hand to walk you through each area.
Wild Zones are also home to Alpha Pokemon, ferocious beasts that return from their debut in Legends: Arceus. In a nutshell, they're a bigger and more powerful version of regular Pokemon - you can tell when there's an Alpha in front of you by the red eyes. Each zone has at least one. Then there's also the Battle Zone, a very important part of the game, and it's place you need to familiarize yourself with.
Here's what you need to know about Zones in Pokemon ZA:
What are Zones in Pokemon ZA?
There are two kinds of zones to find in Pokemon ZA: Wild Zones, where you can encounter various Pokemon, including the intimidating and oh-so-powerful Alphas. You can also find various items around the area, such as Pokéballs and berries, though the real treasure is the TMs you can find. You know one of those is in your sights as the ball is yellow.
Battle Zones are where trainers who are taking part in the Z-A Royale gather, battling each other to get points. Once you defeat enough trainers, you get access to a promotion match so you can progress to the next rank. However, the Battle Zone is only available at night, with the location changing each time the sun sets.

What are Battle Zone bonus cards?
Bonus cards are a great way to increase the number of points that you get. You can hold up to three at a time, and each one gives you a different task, and, if you complete it, you get some extra points. Such tasks include striking first, using moves of a certain type, and defeating trainers of a higher rank than you. Battle cards are common to come across; they're blue and floating around the Battle Zone. Sometimes, you might even get a card from a trainer that you defeat in battle.
