Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 is inevitable, so let’s look at all the details you need to know about the next instalment, including speculation on the story.

What a cliffhanger. I know you're thinking it, too, and now I can't wait for Poppy Playtime Chapter 6, so much so that it's going to be almost painful to hold tight as Mob drip feeds us information in the coming months. Still, just because the team has yet to divulge anything official doesn't mean that I can't make some educated guesses on what we might expect from the next instalment in the beloved horror series.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 featured some pivotal moments, offering a deeper look at some very important Poppy Playtime characters, including Poppy Playtime's Prototype, both answering questions and raising new ones. The twists and turns were good, too, so let's look at what awaits us as we fall even further into the story.

Here's everything we know about Poppy Playtime Chapter 6:

Is there a Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 release date?

No, there isn't an official release date for Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 yet - the chapter itself still needs confirmation from Mob Entertainment (though we all know it's happening after the end of Broken Things). However, a bit of a pattern is emerging, with Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 5 launching in 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively, suggesting we might get Chapter 6 in 2027. Going one step further, both Deep Sleep and Safe Haven hit PC on January 30, while Broken Things came out on February 18, making an early 2027 launch for PPC6 seem possible.

Does Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 have a name?

As the chapter itself still needs an official announcement, it shouldn't surprise you to learn that Chapter 6 doesn't have a name yet. The title of each chapter is also historically one of the last things you learn about it before launch, so I wouldn't expect to learn what PPC6 is called more than a month before release. However, we might be able to make an educated guess once the trailers begin rolling out.

Is there a Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 trailer?

No, there aren't any trailers for Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 yet, and, if they follow the same pattern as the previous chapters, they likely won't emerge until the closing months of 2026. When Mob does release PPC6 trailers, we'll be sure to let you know and dissect them for clues on what we might expect when we return to the factory once more.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 platform speculation

Without question, Chapter 6 will come to PC, as that platform is the first port of call for all of the Poppy Playtime chapters. However, they're all also on consoles, though PPC5 is still awaiting release on Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5, so it's highly likely that Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 will come to those platforms eventually. They also typically make their way to mobile, so we expect to see an Android and iOS release in the future, too.

As soon as we have solid details on the platforms for Poppy Playtime Chapter 6, we'll be sure to update this guide and let you know.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 villain speculation

While we can only speculate about the villain of Poppy Playtime Chapter 6, it feels like a no-brainer to assume that Experiment 1006 will be at the forefront once again, following his actions in Broken Things.

However, chapters tend to have at least one secondary antagonist, so I'd wager that we'll see the introduction of another new toy in Chapter 6, too. There's also the option of Harley Sawyer once again being a thorn in our side following his return at the end of the previous installment. Still, following the conclusion of Chapter 5, I have a sneaking suspicion he's actually going to be a reluctant ally to you, for at least a portion of the chapter.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 character speculation

Beyond the potential villains to appear in Chapter 6, we can make a very good guess about a couple of the characters that are likely to appear when Chapter 6 rolls around. It feels safe to assume that Giblet will be part of the equation again, given that he seems to be the only friend we have left come the end of Chapter 6. We might also see Chum Chompkins again, Giblet's friend on the inside, who's working (very reluctantly) for Experiment 1006.

Of course, Poppy being in the chapter is obvious, as it's likely we need to go and save her, which I'll get to momentarily. However, I have a slightly more out-there character option in Dr. Preston Willard, who you see the Prototype turn into a toy in the concluding Chapter 5 restricted tape titled Salvation. Preston didn't appear in PPC5, but perhaps he'll become an unlikely ally in Chapter 6. It'd certainly be something different for us to team with a toy who's also a former member of staff.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 story speculation

While Mob Entertainment hasn't confirmed anything yet, I think that Poppy Playtime Chapter 6 is going to be a rescue mission. In the concluding moments of Broken Things, the Prototype stabs you and takes off with Poppy - so the logical course of action is for us to go after her, right? I suspect that The Doctor will begrudgingly help, though his motivation won't be clear until Chapter 6 releases, and the odds are there'll be some sort of betrayal somewhere down the line.

Perhaps this is just me coping, but I'm also hoping that Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy somehow survived their encounter with Experiment 1006. Hopefully, Giblet will be able to repeat whatever he did to save us after our stabbing in order to save those two, especially after the adorable bonding session they were having before meeting such a grisly fate in a scene that belongs in a Scream movie.

At the very least, I think Huggy Wuggy will reappear, and he will be a steadfast ally to avenge Kissy if she does succumb to her wounds. It would be quite the change from him directing his murderous rage at us. I can imagine we'll also get a deeper look into the Prototype and Poppy's relationship, with even more secrets unfolding following the revelation of Experiment 1006 being Elliot Ludwig's adopted son, Oliver.

As more details and theories develop, we'll update this guide to help keep you up to date with the next chapter of Poppy Playtime.
