Playing with your friends, no matter what platform you prefer, is commonplace in multiplayer titles these days. However, not every new release is graced with this feature. Does Rematch have crossplay?
Rematch crossplay is now live in the game. While we had reported on the game's plans to deploy the feature previously, it finally landed after two months. That means you can play with your friends across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Before this patch, the only form of Rematch crossplay that existed was through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as Xbox console owners and PC players could play together this way. So, we're not really counting that. If you try to play with friends on the Steam Deck or PlayStation 5 versions, you won't be able to join players on other platforms.
In a launch blog post, Sloclap expresses that "we did our utmost to include crossplay at launch, but Rematch is the studio's first crossplay title, and we faced unforeseen technical complexities which prevented us from having this feature ready in time."
Despite the feature not appearing at the game's launch, Sloclap says that "crossplay is our absolute highest priority […] we already have a basic working version from a technical standpoint, but we need to implement the relevant interfaces, before debugging and polishing it, and finally passing console certifications successfully."
