Watch out, a new threat has arrived in Resident Evil Survival Unit, and this time, Umbrella has nothing to do with it (at least, we don't think so…). In a first-of-its-kind crossover for the hit mobile game, the worlds of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter are colliding, and you can dive into the action any time, any place.

That's right - a new Monster Hunter event is arriving in Resident Evil Survival Unit. Now, the exciting mobile strategy game that unites fan-favorite characters and locations with intricate base-building mechanics and real-time defense battles is introducing a new chapter of survival.

This time, rather than drawing on the legendary Resident Evil series, Survival Unit is joining hands with one of the most beloved action roleplaying series of all time, introducing a variety of elements that pay homage to Monster Hunter's 22-year legacy. This means that, for a limited time, you can experience a variety of collab-exclusive content, taking on a brand new challenge where Lickers and Tyrants aren't the only monsters you'll be facing.

The Resident Evil Survival Unit x Monster Hunter crossover event sees legendary monsters from the iconic series tearing through the streets, pushing the limits of your defenses, and bringing a brand new challenge to the palms of your hands. These fresh threats include the Yian Kut-Ku, a bipedal bird wyvern with an intimidatingly powerful beak that first debuted back in the original Monster Hunter game all the way back in 2004.

Of course, you'll also be encountering the iconic, fire-breathing Rathalos, a flying wyvern known as the King of the Skies that has appeared in every single Monster Hunter game to date. If you've ever taken up the mantle as a hunter before, you're likely very familiar with that last one, so you should know just how formidable a foe it can be.

Luckily, you won't have to face the hunt alone - and we're not just talking about employing the help of beloved Resident Evil characters like Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine, either. New collab-exclusive Heroes inspired by the Monster Hunter universe are set to arrive in the game, and you can claim them for free throughout the event period, no payment needed.

And that's not all, as this collaborative event also introduces an exciting new co-op experience, allowing you to team up and take on the iconic monsters together alongside other survivors from all over the world. Hunts are always better with friends, right?

There's more to the Resident Evil Survival Unit Monster Hunter crossover than forging friendships and fighting fearsome foes, though. You can also look forward to a fresh line-up of exclusive in-game events available throughout the collaboration period, through which you can not only earn the new, heavy-hitting, hunt-savvy Heroes, but can also pick up collab-exclusive cosmetic skins, allowing you to customize your base, on-field squads, and more with a variety of Monster Hunter-inspired designs.

Don't worry, you won't have to head out to battle on an empty stomach (at least metaphorically). One of our favorite parts about this crossover is the inclusion of a special event inspired by Monster Hunter's iconic meat-grilling gameplay, which is always a delight no matter what you're hunting. This means that you can recreate these classic moments on mobile as you slay monsters, gather their meat, and grill it afterwards in exchange for rewards, ensuring no part of your prey is wasted.

This enthralling collaboration comes just seven months after the release of Resident Evil Survival Unit, which launched on November 18, 2025, after rocketing past over two million pre-registrations in the four-month lead-up to its release. Since then, we've seen new Heroes, gameplay modes, events, and all sorts of other content arrive in-game. However, this is the first time we're seeing a collaboration with another game series, and, for it to be such a big one, we're very excited to see what's ahead.
