We've been waiting entirely too long for the arrival of Slitherine's Panzer Corps on iOS. I know this because grognards starved for operational-level wargames descended in a boil upon my Twitter feed and email inbox the other day after the release of Glory of Generals, an iOS game with a...

Star Command is a story two years in the making. The Coombs brothers -- first-time game developers operating under the name Warballoon -- made a tantalizing pitch back in 2011, promising iOS and Android gamers a sci-fi combination of Kairosoft's Game Dev Story, X-Com, and The Sims: truly something for everybody.

Several iOS games have attempted to follow in Master of Orion's 4x (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) footsteps: Ascendancy, Starbase Orion, and the ill-fated Empire of the Eclipse have all trod this territory with big, long-haul games of galactic domination designed to be played over hours and days.

Strategy & Tactics' former destiny as the mobile incarnation of WWII grand strategy series Hearts of Iron was the most interesting thing about the game leading up to its release. It remains the most interesting thing after.

Hello everyone, my name is Sean C., and... I am a mage. Sorry, it's just... First-timer. Now, you name it: I've been there. Incantations, summoning, illusions, cryomancy, blood magic--everything short of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. My friends turned a blind eye, for a time.

Medieval Merchants made me feel like the admiral of a merchant fleet, peering through my spyglass at a distant Excel spreadsheet. I respect Rapidrabbit for developing a game which almost aggressively eschews showmanship, relying completely on its economic model to generate the tension necessary to keep the game interesting.
