I'm all for the era of flip phones coming back, to be honest. Heck, I'd even embrace some sliding tech if someone out there has a compelling take on it. One of the most exciting phones on the market right now is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, a worthy competitor to the latest Google and Apple devices. However, it costs quite a pretty penny to get hold of it, but the good news is that a new Samsung deal is live now.
There's no getting around the price tag of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung's prized smartphone can cost upward of $2k brand-new. It's a hefty chunk of change to drop on any phone. You could buy yourself at least three Steam Decks or two ROG Xbox Ally X's within that wad of cash. Right now, though, Samsung is running a huge discount, bringing the price down to $1,719.99.
It's a reduction from $2,119.99, and what's even better is that the handset comes unlocked. Whether you're a loyal T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T customer, you can pop your SIM card for any of those networks into the Z Fold 7 without any issues. Three colorways are available, which are Jetblack, Silver Shadow, and Blue Shadow. It's a shame there isn't a decent red colorway, though. If you want to save even more money, Samsung has some significant offers through its trade-in program.
Naturally, Samsung is offering the most money for its own devices. If you currently have a Galaxy Z Fold 6 and it meets Samsung's grading conditions, you can net yourself a $1,000 saving. S25 Ultra owners can also benefit from the same discount, but the trade-in offers drop quite significantly after that, as the S25+ is worth $600. Other brands that Samsung accepts include Google, Motorola, OnePlus, and Apple.
For those of you sporting some of the best iPhones, you can get up to $613 with an iPhone 16 Pro Max trade. Aside from looking the part, housing a solid camera and an excellent AMOLED display with 120Hz support, it can keep up with plenty of the best mobile games out there. Backed by Android 16, up to 16GB of RAM, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, playing demanding titles like Zenless Zone Zero is a breeze on this handset.
Samsung is likely to alter its trade-in prices soon, so it's worth capitalising on this deal while you can. Alternatively, you can check out our guide to the best flip phones so you can weigh up your options.
