How do I summon units in Special Anime Defense?

Getting new units is easy. You just need to head to the summon zone, which you can do by tapping the button on the left side of your screen. Each time you summon a unit, it costs 50 gems, which means you quickly run out, though you get more by playing the game and completing missions.
