Can you imagine what Star Trek would be like if Kirk croaked in the first ten minutes? That’s essentially The Captain is Dead. This digital version of the popular survival strategy board game sees you attempt to bring order to a ship in chaos after your commanding officer has snuffed it. This puts you in the captain’s chair and squarely in the crosshairs of the alien marauders trying to blow up you, the ship, and its crew.
But all is not lost! If you manage to keep your wits about you and pursue a smart course of action, you might yet succeed. In our Captain is Dead review we called it: “the explosive climax of your favourite sci-fi on repeat, forever, never letting up for so much as a split second.”
