What’s the best Wuthering Waves Carlotta build?
Carlotta is a five-star resonator that uses a pistol as a weapon, and the glacio element.
Element | Glacio |
Rarity | Five-star |
Role | DPS |
Best weapon | The Last Dance |
Best echo set | Frosty Resolve |
Best echo | Sentry Construct |
Main stats | Crit rate/damage, attack, glacio damage bonus |
Carlotta is the debut character in Rinascita, and is part of the esteemed Montelli family. Thankfully, her kit matches up to her reputation as she’s a very good glacio DPS with plenty of boosted moves in her kit, and is easy to build.
With plenty of attack and good crit values, Carlotta can deal a lot of damage with and without a buffer or support in the team. She works best with a healer, and with Lumi for her skill boosts or Zhezhi to provide extra glacio attacks.
Carlotta’s skills go through upgrades as you use her in combat, with certain actions triggering boosted states. She essentially has two different ultimate – both with animations – and a stronger basic attack to use to take down enemies.
What’s the best weapon for Carlotta?
The best weapon overall for Carlotta is her signature five-star pistol, The Last Dance. While there’s no 50/50 on the weapon banner, some may not have the means to pull for it – but don’t worry, there are some excellent options outside of the limited five-star offering attack and crit boosts.
The Last Dance | Stat: Crit damage Skill: Increases Carlotta’s attack by 12%. Every time she uses her intro skill or resonance liberation, her resonance skill damage bonus increases by 48% for five seconds |
Limited weapon banner |
Static Mist | Stat: Crit rate Skill: Increases Carlotta’s energy regeneration by 12.8%. When she uses her outro skill, it increases the incoming resonator’s attack by 10%. This effect lasts for 14 seconds |
Standard weapon banner |
Thunderbolt | Stat: Attack Skill: When hitting a target with basic or heavy attacks, Carlotta’s resonance skill damage bonus increases by 7%, stacking up to three times. This effect lasts for ten seconds and can trigger once every second |

Undying Flame | Stat: Attack Skill: When using Carlotta’s intro skill, her resonance skill damage bonus increases by 20% for 15 seconds |

What are the best Carlotta team comps?
Carlotta is a great choice for main DPS in any team, though she can provide some buffs to teammates with her later resonance chains. We suggest using her alongside a healer and a buffer – Lumi, Shorekeeper, and Verina work well – and someone with co-ordinated attacks like Zhezhi or Jinhsi.
What are the best echoes for Carlotta?
Here are the echo sets we recommend for Carlotta:
- Five-piece set: Frosty resolve
- Two-piece sets: Frosty resolve, freezing frost, and lingering tunes
The frosty resolve set – added in update 2.0 – fits Carlotta very well as it gives a resonance skill damage boost with the two-piece set and a 22% glacio damage bonus with the full five-piece set.
We all know what grinding for a new set of echoes is like, so you can mix and match it with a two-piece set of freezing frost or lingering tunes for glacio damage and attack boosts.
Sentry Construct | Each time Carlotta casts her resonance liberation, it charges the Strike Capacitor. Once Strike Capacitor is at max level, the echo cooldown will reset. Use the echo to transform into Sentry Construct and deal 270% glacio damage, and freeze targets. Carlotta also gains 12% glacio and 12% resonance skill damage bonuses |
Lampylumen Myriad | Unleash a freezing shock by performing strikes, with the final strike dealing 191.82% glacio damage. Enemies will freeze on hit. Each shock increases Carlotta’s glacio damage by 4% and her resonance skill damage by 4% for 15 seconds, stacking up to three times |
