Wuthering Waves Chixia is a bright and bubbly girl you meet as soon as you step into Rover’s shoes. She introduces Rover to the world around them with the help of Yangyang, and she’s a capable damage dealer who is likely a staple member of everyone’s teams – at least for the first few levels.

Here’s everything in our Wuthering Waves Chixia guide:

What’s the best Wuthering Waves Chixia build?

Chixia is a four-star resonator that uses pistols and the fusion element. Here are the weapons, echoes, and stats we recommend you use when using Chixia:

Element Fusion
Rarity Four-star
Role DPS
Best weapon Static Mist
Best echo set Molten rift
Best echo Inferno Rider
Main stats Fusion damage bonus, crit rate, crit damage, attack

Jinzhou Patroller, Chixia, is an easy-investment DPS who dishes out plenty of fusion damage. The best build for her uses the Static Mist pistols with a full set of molten rift echoes, with a fusion damage bonus echo in the mix.

In terms of teammates, as you get Chixia at the beginning of the game, we recommend her with Rover and Yangyang. If you have Changli, you can use them both in a dual DPS team for maximum fusion damage.

What’s the best weapon for Chixia?

The best weapon for Chixia is Static Mist, purely for its main and sub-stats as a five-star weapon. It’s currently the only five-star pistol in the game, so that means it’s hard to come across, so we’ve also included some great four-star options.

Static Mist Stat: Crit rate
Effect: Increases energy regeneration by 12.8%. When Chixia casts her outro skill, her attack increases by 10%. This effect lasts for 14 seconds

Thunderbolt Stat: Attack

Undying Flame Stat: Attack

What’s the best Chixia team comp?

Chixia is your main DPS in any team comp, so you’re best off slotting her in a team with a healer and a buffer if you can.

The best synergies for Chixia are:

  • Wuthering Waves Changli – you can easily use Changli in a duo DPS comp with Chixia to ensure plenty of fusion damage all the time. They can both remain on field or safely take a break to let the other shine. Changli’s outro skill also buffs Chixia’s fusion damage.
  • Wuthering Waves Verina or Baizhi – as always, if you need a healer, we recommend Baizhi or Verina. Really, it depends on who you have and who you prefer using, though Verina provides more buffs without as many wavebands unlocked.

Here’s our recommendation for the best Chixia team comp:

What are the best echoes for Chixia?

Here are the echo sets we recommend for Chixia:

  • Five-piece set: Molten rift
  • Two-piece sets: Molten rift, lingering tunes

The best echo set for Chixia is a five-piece set of molten rift echoes. A full set provides two fusion damage bonuses as she uses her resonance skill, which matches very well as that’s where a lot of her damage comes from.

The best main echo to equip Chixia with is the Inferno Rider as it deals plenty of damage while you’re in the Rider state, and also increases her fusion damage after the fact. If you haven’t got a full set (or a good set) of molten rift, you can mix and match with a two-piece set of moonlit clouds for energy regeneration, or lingering tunes to boost her attack.

Inferno Rider Transform into the Inferno Rider to perform consecutive strikes, dealing fusion damage. This increases Chixia’s fusion damage and basic attack damage

Stat recommendations

Remember to look at the main and sub-stats of each echo – here are the stats you should aim for:

Main stats

  • Crit rate/damage
  • Fusion damage bonus
  • Attack

Sub-stats

  • Crit rate/damage
  • Attack
  • Energy regeneration
  • Resonance liberation damage

Numbingly Spicy! Each Thermobaric Bullet that hits a target during skill DAKA DAKA, increases Chixia’s attack by 1% for ten seconds. This can stack up to 30 times

Skill priority

When thinking about upgrading Chixia’s skills, we recommend the following order of priority:

  • Forte circuit > resonance liberation > resonance skill > normal attack > intro skill

What is Chixia’s resonance chain?

When starting Wuthering Waves, you get Chixia for free – but you can get plenty more from banners or the in-game shop.

No. 1 Hero Play Fan Chixia’s resonance skill, Sonic Boom, always crits on hit
Leaping Sparkles During Chixia’s resonance liberation, every target she defeats restores five energy. This can restore 20 energy at one time
Eternal Flames Chixia’s resonance liberation deals 40% more damage to targets with health below 50%
Hero’s Ultimate Move Using Chixia’s resonance liberation grants 60 Thermobaric Bullets, and resets the cooldown of resonance skill Whizzing Fight Spirit
Triumphant Explosions Chixia’s attack increases a further 30% when inherent skill Numbingly Spicy reaches maximum stacks
Easter Egg Performance Using Chixia’s resonance skill Boom Boom increases the basic attack damage of all teammates by 25% for 15 seconds

Now that you’ve got a fully built Chixia, why not build some other excellent characters like Wuthering Waves Sanhua, Wuthering Waves Xiangli Yao, and Wuthering Waves Encore to ensure you’ve got enough teams to tackle the Tower of Adversity?
