What is the best Harumasa build?
ZZZ’s Harumasa is an S-rank attack specialty character who deals electric attribute damage and belongs to the Section 6 faction. He’s a flexible main DPS option with many great team comps, and his chain lightning attack is formidable.
Here’s a brief overview of our best ZZZ Harumasa build:
Rank | S |
Attribute | Electric |
Specialty | Attack |
Attack type | Pierce |
Best W-engine | Zanshin Herb Case |
Best drive discs | 4pc Thunder Metal and 2pc Woodpecker Electro |
Main stats |
|
Sub-stats | Crit damage = crit rate = attack ratio > pen ratio = attack |
Harumasa’s best W-engine is his signature S-rank, Zanshin Herb Case, and his best drive disc set is four pieces of Thunder Metal and two pieces of Woodpecker Electro. When building him, you should prioritize boosting her crit rate and damage and attack ratio, while adding extra electric damage with disc 5.
His additional ability, Overclock, gives him a hefty attack increase and can help you to increase stacks of Falling Feather, but you need to run him with either a stun or anomaly specialty agent to activate it. Luckily, there are plenty of great support characters in this category that work well with Harumasa.
What’s Harumasa’s best W-engine?
Harumasa’s best W-engine is the S-rank Zanshin Herb Case. As it’s his signature weapon, it’s tailored perfectly to fit his kit, massively buffing his crit rate and dash attack electric damage in the right team comps.
Harumasa’s second-best W-engine is The Brimstone. Soldier 11’s signature weapon offers huge boosts to his attack stat, especially when spamming basic attacks.
Harumasa’s best A-rank W-engine is Cannon Rotor. As a battle pass W-engine, it’s a lot more accessible than other options, and if you’re able to raise Harumasa’s crit rate through drive discs, its passive will proc consistently.
Here are Harumasa’s best W-engines:
Zanshin Herb Case | Stat: crit damage Skill: crit rate increases by 10%. Dash attack electric damage increases by 40%. When any squad member applies an attribute anomaly or stuns an enemy, Harumasa’s crit rate increases by an additional 10% for 12 seconds |
Limited banner |
The Brimstone | Stat: attack Skill: upon hitting an enemy with a basic attack, dash attack, or dodge counter, Harumasa’s attack increases by 3.5% for eight seconds, stacking up to eight times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5 seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately |
Limited or standard banner, or Signal Shop |
Cannon Rotor | Stat: crit rate Skill: increases attack by 7.5%. Attacks that land a crit on an enemy will inflict an additional 200% of attack as damage. This effect can only be triggered once every eight seconds |
New Eridu City Fund |
[Lunar] Noviluna | Stat: crit rate Skill: launching an EX special attack generates three energy for Harumasa. This effect can trigger once every 12 seconds |
Limited or standard banner |
What are Harumasa’s best drive discs?
Harumasa’s best drive disc set is four pieces of Thunder Metal. This set increases his electric damage and boosts his attack against shocked enemies. If you’re running a mono-electric team, this attack boost will really pack a punch.
We recommend combining this with two pieces of Woodpecker Electro for a crit rate boost. Harumasa’s kit and synergies all revolve around crits, so any opportunities to increase the odds are welcome.
Here are ZZZ Harumasa’s best drive discs:
Thunder Metal | Two pieces: increases electric damage by 10% Four pieces: as long as an enemy in combat is Shocked, Harumasa’s attack is increased by 27% |
Woodpecker Electro | Two pieces: increases crit rate by 8% |
Harumasa stat recommendations
When picking drive discs for Harumasa, we recommend prioritizing the following stats.
Main stats:
- Disc 4: crit rate/damage
- Disc 5: electric damage
- Disc 6: attack
Sub-stats
What are the best team comps for Harumasa?

Here are all of Harumasa’s skills and passives at level one. Keep in mind that these are just the base multipliers before any leveling up.
Here are Harumasa’s attacks:
Basic attack | Cloud Piercer Press basic attack to launch up to five piercing attacks ahead, dealing physical damage and electric damage. When the 5th hit of the basic attack hits an enemy, it generates two Electro Quivers. Hold basic attack to aim at a target and release basic attack to shoot Falling Feather at the target, dealing electric damage |
Basic attack | Ha-Oto no Ya When the 5th hit of Cloud Piercer/EX special attack/chain attack hits an enemy or the ground, it can generate two/six/six Electro Quivers. If there are no Electro Quivers on the field when any squad member applies an attribute anomaly to an enemy, generate six Electro Quivers. This effect can trigger once every 12 seconds. There can be up to six Electro Quivers present at a time. If there are any Electro Quivers present when Harumasa fires and hits enemies with Falling Feather, the Electro Quivers will activate and fire Ha-Oto no Ya at the enemies hit by Falling Feather, dealing electric damage. Ha-Oto no Ya will apply Electro Prison to enemies hit, stacking up to eight times and lasting ten seconds, repeated triggers reset the duration. While a target has at least two stacks of Electro Prison, they will be X-Marked |

When the slash hits the target, it consumes two stacks of Electro Prison. With less than two stacks of Electro Prison, X-Marked is removed from the enemy. Before X-Marked is removed, repeatedly press the attack button to repeatedly use Hiten no Tsuru – Slash. When no X-Marked enemies exist on the field, Harumasa leaves the Awakened state. While in the Awakened state, press the attack button after using Falling Feather to quickly follow up with Hiten no Tsuru – Slash.
