Have you ever played a trivia game and thought, “hey, this could use more Tom Hanks”. Well, you’re in luck, as there’s a new Apple Arcade exclusive in the form of Hanx101 Trivia, a trivia game from the star of Captain Phillips, Forrest Gump, and Castaway. It turns out life really is like a box of chocolates, and we were not at all expecting this flavour.
The Apple Arcade Hanx101 Trivia title is the result of a collaboration between the iconic actor and developer BlueLine Studios, and has got to be the first of its kind – at least, that I can think of. There’s multiple game modes included to test your mental strength, from a Hanx101 101 questions test, to a collaborative 2v2 effort with you and a friend taking on other teams of online players.
Surprisingly, it’s not the first time that Mr Hanks has contributed to the Apple software library. His 2014 app Hanx Writer gave you the opportunity to type on your iPhone or iPad as if it were an old-timey typewriter, with all the clicking and clacking attached. That app won him a Best of 2014 award from Apple, so who knows, Hanx101 for mobile GOTY? You heard it here first, folks.

Hanx 101 is currently an Apple Arcade exclusive, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it make itself available on the App Store and Google Play in the future, so watch this space.
