Indie adventure Forgotton Anne returning to Switch a year after delist

Square Enix originally published Forgotton Anne, but after a year of absence, Throughline Games’ mystery is on its way back to the Nintendo Switch eShop

The Square Enix Collective-published Forgotton Anne came to the Nintendo Switch at the end of 2018, as part of an indie games initiative from the European branch of the Japanese videogame giant. Publishing rights for the game, however, reverted back to the IP owner in May last year, leading to the game’s delisting on the Switch eShop (and a few other platforms).

Now, the creator Throughline Games’ adventure puzzle game is coming back to the US Switch eShop. The game returns on February 13, and the original demo is currently available if you fancy giving it a go. If you already purchased the game, that purchase is still valid. It’s also available on the Google Play store and Apple App Store.

The game originally reviewed quite well, with an 82/100 on the review aggregator site Metacritic. Forgotton Anne also received Game of the Year at the Danish National Game Awards, as well as a Limited Run Games release that now goes for a pretty penny.
