Infinite Lagrange

If you’re an aspiring adventurer with a passion for strategic space games, Infinite Lagrange is the perfect title for you. In this advanced and gripping RTS, you find yourself as the head of a galactic fleet, travelling through the unknown, uncharted territories of space. Of course, you will have to build up a starting point for your interstellar voyage, and your base is just that. But with such a huge task, where do you start?

That’s where we come in. In this guide we will show you how to build and upgrade your very own base, what features to prioritise over others, how to relocate your base, and more. As your base expands, you will make room for various facilities, increase production capacity for your various ships, and raise your base’s HP, base-to-fleet firepower, and even your available operations. Acting as a central hub for all of your important strategic developments and pivotal systems, building yourself a strong base is integral in your exploration of the vast galaxy.

Though upgrading your base can be a challenge, the detailed construction system and heaps of rewards you obtain through your hard work make it well worth the wait. Read on to find out more about this engaging feature, and join us on a journey through the beautiful but dangerous Milky Way.

What is an Infinite Lagrange base?

In Infinite Lagrange, your base is essentially your home in space. From here you can handle resource management, where you harvest useful products and materials, manage your ships through the barracks, and handle your ship formation and deployment preparation. Your city walls define your base defense, and your shipyard acts as an army building where all of your fleets are kept. As your base is upgraded and becomes more fortified, it can offer you a great sense of security in this vast galaxy of fierce competition and unknown threats.

How do I upgrade my Infinite Lagrange base?

Your base can be upgraded throughout the game, and can be expanded to reach a maximum of nine zones, which will not only make your base look expansive and imposing, but will also increase its HP value to staggering heights. As new zones unlock, you will be able to build larger ships, bigger ports, warehouse expansions, more powerful battleship production lines, and much, much more. Expanding your base will take time and patience, but is an extremely rewarding experience. Here’s everything you need to know about the process.

Recommended priorities for upgrades

In the early stages of the game, resource production is a high priority to secure your success and bring in a stable income. You will also want to upgrade the port, as it can increase your number of Utility Ships and is necessary to upgrade your base. Here is the order in which we recommend that you prioritise your upgrades.

  • Ports
  • Buildings required to upgrade the base
  • Resource production
  • Other upgrades

Remember to upgrade your habitat, as it is where you can obtain currency to buy crates and develop your technology. Also note that you can use the speed-up feature, which will continue to yield later in the game.

Construction

To access the building interface, tap the button labelled ‘construction’ at the center of the base facility interface. Here, you can view the state of the base on the right hand side of the screen. As you swipe from left to right in the upgrade list, buildings composed of translucent blocks will appear on the base. These are the areas that are yet to be built, but are already part of the base expansion plan. When the base zones are unlocked, the blocks will gradually turn into buildings, materialising your hard work.

Zones

Your base will need to be continuously operated and maintained in order to expand. Aside from zone one, all other zones will need you to meet certain requirements before they can be unlocked. If you want to see what the expansion requirements for each zone are, you can tap the plus symbol next to their name in the construction screen.

Keep in mind that though building new zones will offer you generous rewards, they also cost a great deal of resources and time. Be careful not to overstretch your expansion capabilities by preparing resources in advance and considering your current resource inventories before beginning any big expansions.

How can I relocate my Infinite Lagrange base?

There are two ways to relocate your Infinite Lagrange base.

After your base obtains zone four and you develop the outpost command center, it can be directionally relocated. Simply select a location for the outpost to be relocated to, and, as long as you have available utility ships, you can begin construction.

Alternatively, if your base is destroyed by enemies it can be relocated, or the base from the beginning period can be respawned randomly – but, of course, you’ll probably want to avoid this.
