Nintendo and Lego have confirmed that the people’s princess is finally making her way to bricks near you when Princess Peach and her massive castle join the Lego Super Mario roster later this year. Peach is getting her own interactive figure much like Mario and Luigi before her, that will make lights and sounds when playing with any of the previously released Lego Mario sets.
Releasing on August 1, 2022, the upcoming wave of new Lego sets includes the Adventures with Princess Peach Starter Course ($59.99), Peach’s Castle Expansion Set ($129.99), Cat Peach Suit and Frozen Tower Expansion Set ($79.99), Big Spike’s Cloudtop Challenge Expansion Set ($69.99), Yoshi’s Gift House Expansion Set ($29.99), Fuzzy Flippers Expansion Set ($19.99), and Goomba’s Shoe Expansion Set ($9.99).
That’s a whole load of new Lego sets on the horizon, and Peach’s Castle looks to be one of the most ambitious packs in this collection yet. While these listings were leaked a few weeks ago (thanks to VGC), there’s still a $229 listing waiting to be announced, much like the premium Super Mario 64 Question Block and the NES Lego sets previously released. Could a Lego SNES be on the cards? Who knows what Nintendo and Lego will do next.
