If the Moonlight Peaks release date makes us think anything, it's that we'd love to see Edward Cullen plowing some… fields. Imagine if Dracula swapped biting tracheas for driving tractors, and you've got the idea. Moonlight Peaks is an excellent farming sim with a vampire twist, and we suggest you sink your teeth into it.

Of course, there's no better place to play the best farm games than the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. With its great controls and portability, the Switch is much like a scarecrow: outstanding in its field. Plus, as Moonlight Peaks is on the consoles, you might stay up well pasture bedtime. I know what you're thinking: how dairy? Well, I've got bad news: I'll be milking these cheesy puns until the cows come home.

Moonlight Peaks release date

Moonlight Peaks released on July 7, 2026, on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Steam, and Google Play. 

In October 2023, Little Chicken released a playable Moonlight Peaks demo on Steam, which allowed you to try your hand at farming, crafting, and talking to your adorable cat friend. While the demo didn't allow you to go beyond the boundaries of your farm, there were plenty of cute crops, furnishings, and critters to acquaint yourself with, and it definitely got us hyped for the full release.

What is Moonlight Peaks?

Moonlight Peaks is a gothic horror farming game that puts you in the role of a young vampire. Cast spells, grow crops, date werewolves and other monsters, and tend to your supernatural garden all while keeping your dad Dracula happy, who is a right pain in the neck. Everything we've heard about Moonlight Peaks sounds like it could be the GOAT of farming sims, with the sprinkle of spooky goodness just icing on the cake.

Is Moonlight Peaks heading to Nintendo Switch 2?

Yes, developer Little Chicken released Moonlight Peaks on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC, all at the same time. The devs revealed their preferred launch platform in a Steam Q&A, confirming that a Nintendo Switch port is their highest priority after PC, which then included Switch 2.
