Who doesn’t love a good platformer? It could be loading up a newer game like Hollow Knight or a veritable classic for some retro gaming fun. Mobile has its fair share of great platformers, too, such as the Castlevania games and plenty of indie titles including Dead Cells, Limbo, and Dandara. But it’s rare for a real classic to make its return to the platform.
That’s exactly what SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated has done. Based on the classic 2003 PS2 game, you play as the popular cartoon’s namesake, defending the underwater town from an invasion of robots made by Plankton.
The remake features controller support and improved visuals, following SpongeBob as he battles to save Bikini Bottom. This week we’ve partnered with HandyGames to give away some Android copies of the aquatic adventure.
