The Witcher 3 Netflix DLC comes alongside its next-gen console update on December 14, bringing new quests and items related to the Henry Cavill television show

The Witcher 3 is getting a next-gen update on December 14. I know what you’re thinking, “the Nintendo Switch isn’t a next-gen console”, and you’d be correct. Of course, the Switch version of The Witcher 3 isn’t getting any ray-tracing features or 4K textures, but there is some stuff in store for us portable ponies.

CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3 Netflix DLC, as part of the next-gen update, which brings new weapons, armour, and looks for certain characters. Rather than relegate this to a random inventory drop, it’s all been tied into a new quest.

Here’s how CD Projekt Red described it: “We have a very special treat for all of the fans of the Netflix show! Enjoy alternative looks for Dandelion and Nilfgaardian soldiers, as well as a new quest, inspired by the show, where you’ll be able to get diagrams for new equipment for Geralt. What’s the quest? Shhh! No spoilers!”
