Another festival, and more freebies, are coming to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel! To celebrate over 20 million downloads, Konami is gifting players 1000 gems to do with what they please, so you can stock up on new cards, or get yourself a nice Rescue Rabbit avatar to watch over your duels. That’s not all, as there’s a new limited format festival coming too, so you can take a two-week sabbatical from endless Dryton combos and Exodia deck-outs.

The 20 million downloads milestone is not bad going at all, considering the game has been out less than three months. It looks like Konami wants to keep up its momentum, too, by announcing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel N/R festival for this month alongside the big gem giveaway. We’re never one to say no to a Yu-Gi-Oh party.

The giveaway is now live, so all you need to do to claim your gems is log into your Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel account three days in a row, with gifts of 500, 300, and 200 gems each day. Although, if you plan to enter the N/R festival event, we suggest you keep your gems to one side for some specialist deck-building.

What is the next Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel event?

Following on from last month’s XYZ challenge, the limited format for March is an N/R festival, putting common and rare cards in the spotlight. This is a particularly exciting event as it renders so many staple cards useless, especially hand traps like ‘Maxx’ C and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, forcing players to try out new techniques.

The N/R festival runs from March 23 to April 4, so there are two whole weeks of limited format duelling for you to throw yourself into. You can continue to claim rewards through to April 6, but from then, all the medals you win as part of the N/R festival will be useless, so spend them before it’s too late.

With that, you’re up to date on all things Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, ready to get some gems and take it to the duel field in the N/R festival.
