The Zelda series has a habit of making quests a bit too open-ended, this issue can multiply in a giant open-world game, so in this guide, we help you solve the mystery of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom six dragons quest with everything you need to complete the mission and gain its subsequent rewards.

But alas, before we head into the depths of this guide, it might be a good idea to take a look at our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stable locations, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pyper, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom armor location guides.

Here's how to do the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom six dragons quest:

How to complete the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom six dragons quest

In very short terms, you can solve the quest by doing the following:

  • Complete the Water Temple and unlock Sidon's sage ability
  • Talk to Kazul in Thyphlo Ruins next to the Skyview Tower
  • Head to coordinates: 0187, 3182, 0172
  • Use a charged attack with Sidon's ability near the dragon head statues
  • Open the treasure chest

We have a deeper explanation for you if you're worried about running off into a desert or snowdrift and getting lost. First things first, you need to get Sidon's Sage of Water ability.

How do I get Sidon's Sage of Water ability?

To unlock this ability, you have to help Sidon clean up his kingdom by completing the water temple quest, starting from Zora's domain and heading up to the sky. If you're looking to power up Sidon or any of Link's brothers-in-arms, check out our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sage's will guide.

How do I activate the Six Dragons quest?

Now that you've got a shiny new ability, you can start the quest. You won't be able to complete the quest without the water ability, so if you skipped ahead, go back a step.

Head to the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview tower at the north point of the map past Hyrule Forest. Here, you find a character called Kazul. Talking to him kickstarts the six dragons quest.

There's a stone slab nearby - read it to receive a clue about using the "power of water". Go back and talk to Kazul, who's thoroughly stumped. We know this is referencing Sidon's Sage ability, though, so let's set off to find the six dragons.

Where are the six dragons?

Using the power of science - that is, those of us who have already done the quest - we know exactly where to go. The location of the six dragons is at these coordinates: 0186, 3181, and 0174.

Make sure to summon Sidon from the key items menu and unleash a charged attack while using his water bubble attack close to the dragon head statues. This activates a quick cutscene, revealing a treasure chest, and Tingle's your uncle; the quest is completed! The quest rewards you with a whopping five opals, which you can fuse to a magic rod for a stick that spews water.
