Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp hits Nintendo Switch in December

The Game Boy Advance originals have been remastered for Nintendo Switch

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will arrive on Nintendo Switch later this year. As the name may indicate, the game features the campaigns from both the first Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising.

Now then, you would have travelled back in time a fair bit to get to when these games were originally made. In fact, you would have to travel 20 years as the first game was released in 2001 for Game Boy Advance. Its sequel, Black Hole Rising, would come onto the scene two years later, also for the Game Boy Advance. In 2004, Advance Wars 1+2 launched on the same platform.

If you are interested in turn-based tactical games, you may want to keep an eye on Advance Wars, as that is the heart of the franchise. You can expect to go to war, and have to think strategically if you are to secure victory. There are two paths to take on the battlefield, destroy all who oppose you – war is hell after all – or simply take the opposition’s headquarters.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on December 3. You can check out the new trailer below.
