Capture some summer memories with Runaway Play’s Aim and Snap

Aim and Snap is the indie gaming world’s celebration of World Photography Week, showing off the growing popularity of camera mechanics in games.

Photography games are becoming ever more popular on the Nintendo Switch, which is unsurprising given that they are usually some of the most relaxing games out there too. That’s why Flutter Away’s developer Runaway Play has created Aim and Snap to highlight ten recent photography-based indie games.

Aim and Snap: A Celebration of Photography Games is exactly what it sounds like – Runaway Play’s campaign to commemorate World Photography Week in the games industry by highlighting a group of indie games that all focus on photography. This includes the studio’s own recent release, Flutter Away, as well as Pocket Tactics favorites Pupperazzi and Wylde Flowers.

According to the official Aim and Snap website, “By showcasing the surging popularity of camera mechanics in games, we hope to inspire gaming platforms to enhance discoverability by adding tags and categories that connect fans with these experiences.” If you’re also a fan of these games and have thoughts to share, be sure to use #AimandSnapGames on Twitter.

If you’re interested in trying out the games on show for yourself, Aim and Snap is running a giveaway. Three lucky winners will get Steam keys for eight of the games including Pupperazzi, Flutter Away, and Wylde Flowers and all you have to do is enter your Twitter handle or email address in the box on the official website. The giveaway ends on August 26, 2023, so act fast!
