Though it was written 75 years ago, Animal Farm is still a relevant fable about how even noble endeavors can be subverted by corruption and a desire for power. Its a relevance that developers, Nerial and The Dairymen recently tried to prove with their Android and iOS adaptation of the novella.
Orwell’s Animal Farm is a narrative adventure game, where just as in the original, you must decide the fate of Jones’s Farm and all the animals upon it. You have to keep the spirit of animalism alive, while also maintaining food stockpiles, and building support for specific animal factions, to decide who will lead the farm to greatness. In our Animal Farm review, we called it “A strong adaptation bolstered by excellent narration and writing”.
