Blasphemous 2 release date set for Nintendo Switch later this year

Blasphemous 2’s release date has us all excited here at PT, giving us another dive into the wild and gorgeous Metroidvania on Nintendo Switch.

We’ve now got a Blasphemous 2 release date, with just a couple of months until it’s time to draw your blade.  A sequel to the excellent Metroidvania from The Game Kitchen, the game focuses on non-linear exploration, brutal combat, and big boss battles.

The main excitement for us at PT is the excellent pixel art. You can check out the trailer below to see for yourself, but the animations got me, personally, a little overexcited… The game is also coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, so we might even get a 120Hz mode *eye emoji*.

It’s not just a sequel mechanically and aesthetically, however, as the game takes place right after its predecessor’s final story update. With the return of the supernatural entity The Miracle, you have no choice but to murder all sorts of nasty creatures and explore a strange world. Sounds lovely.

When is Blasphemous 2’s release date?

The Blasphemous 2 release date arrives on August 24, 2023. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can check out the trailer below.
