Activision’s CoD: Mobile attachment paywall angers players

The apparent Call of Duty: Mobile attachment paywall is causing discourse on Reddit, as some players express their anger at the decision

There’s no denying that, for the most part, Call of Duty: Mobile meets player expectations, though recently, things took a turn as various Reddit users stumbled across a CoD: Mobile attachment paywall, and let’s just say that many players are less than impressed with this new development.

Call of Duty: Mobile’s attachment paywall is a bit of a shock, as historically, they’re free content that you can lock via playing the game, yet one look at a Reddit thread by Agent_Lord987 shows that the new attachment for the ASM10, a barrel known as Branson, is stuck behind a paywall, a move that has one user, Level_Counter_1672 claiming that “they [Activision] are behaving like EA,” a company many condemn for its aggression with microtransactions.

However, it’s worth noting that while this new attachment is currently behind a paywall, the missions you can play to unlock it for free come out next week. So, there’s another path you can take to get the in-game item, though some players fear this is the beginning of a new trend in CoD: Mobile that could ultimately lead to more situations like this.

Why is the CoD: Mobile attachment behind a paywall?

We can’t say for certain. This could be a choice by Activision, or simply an oversight. Nonetheless, you can still grab the Branson for free when its associated missions come to the game.

It looks to me that the new attachment for the ASM10 for now is a pay walled item! from CallOfDutyMobile
