The Didero Games Club subscription is reviving videogame rental

Didero Games Club comes from the creators of Hoefnagel Puzzle Club, a puzzle subscription service, and aims to make Switch games more accessible to all.

Although there’s a great library of free Switch games out there, most of the best titles cost money, and with so many great games coming out each month it can be hard to keep up. That’s where Didero Games Club comes in, offering a Switch game rental service across the USA to help you play all the best games without breaking the bank.

Rather than a cloud gaming service, Didero Games Club offers physical Switch game rental so you don’t have to worry about poor streaming quality ruining your favorite games. Didero has a catalog of over 200 Switch games from blockbuster titles like Tears of the Kingdom to indie gems.

It can be hard to know if you’ll like a game just from a trailer, description, or even a demo, so purchasing them at full price can feel like a waste. Aravind Moorthy, Head of Data Science at Flowplay Games and Former Economist at Valve said, “There are a lot of great narrative-driven games on Switch that people tend to play through just once. And many titles come with high sticker prices that are hard to swallow if you’re only playing for a few weeks. Renting makes sense.”

Unlike a library loan, you can rent a game from Didero for as long as you like. Subscriptions cost $10/month or $100/year, plus a $3.95 fee each time you choose a new game. You don’t have to worry about warehouse delays either as Didero Games Club utilizes peer-to-peer shipping rather than a centralized shipping location.
