Black Salt Games is continuing to support its indie fishing adventure with the release of Dredge update three. The studio continues to bring spooks to the fishing games genre with these free updates to its multi-award-winning title that keep reeling fans back in.

In the previous Dredge updates, we got access to a photo mode and a cozy passive mode for those of us who love fishing but prefer not to face the threat of deep-sea horrors. This update’s standout feature is the ability to customize your boat with paint jobs and flags so you can stand out on the open sea.

All you need to do is speak to the new Painter NPC in the game’s starting area to give your vessel a much-needed makeover. There are also new items to find under the waves to further spruce up your trawler so it’s easily identifiable when you inevitably get eaten by killer fish.

The update also adds 13 new creatures from the crustacean family for you to find that are key to unlocking even more customization options. Maybe you’ll get to give your boat claws?
