Super Rare Games is teaming up with Mister Morris Games to bring the 2D pixel Metroidvania Haiku the Robot to the Nintendo Switch for the first time. We’re so excited that the Haiku the Robot release date brings us a game that resembles some of the best Game Boy games in a stunning physical special edition.
Haiku the Robot is a Metroidvania made by a single developer set in the cute but deadly pixelated world of Arcadia. You take on the role of the titular Haiku, exploring Arcadia, fighting corrupt robots, and making new friends in unexpected places. It’s jam-packed with secrets and has incredibly high ratings on Steam that we hope will carry over to the Switch.
The Super Rare Games physical release is limited to just 4k copies and comes with a bunch of extras perfect for physical collectors. The standard Nintendo-branded cover art is reversible and the box includes a game cartridge, a full-color manual, an exclusive sticker, trading cards, and a map of Arcadia.

Haiku the Robot’s physical edition releases at 10:00 PDT/18:00 BST on July 20, 2023, on Super Rare Games’ website, and ships shortly after. This amazing bundle is perfect for the Metroidvania-lover in your life, especially if they appreciate a good sticker (who doesn’t?).
