Developers behind Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure, Snowcastle Games, reveal they are to sign with two new publishers to publish Ikonei Island on Switch in the future. Ikonei, along with other games in the Earthlock series, are great relaxing games for a few hours of crafting and farming at a time.

The publishers assisting with the Nintendo Switch (and other consoles) launch of Ikonei Island are Jetpack Collective and the Iterative Collective, looking after the EU and UK markets, and Eastern markets respectively. Having these two names on board extends the reach of Ikonei, and ensures a smoother process of bringing it to consoles.

Ikonei Island stems from Earthlock, the well-received 2016 RPG, selling over 2.5 million units across Switch and all other major platforms. The two titles are loosely related as the main characters in Ikonei hail from Earthlock, though it is a standalone title.

So what can we look forward to when Ikonei Island comes to Switch? For starters, it’s a cozy and cute adventure title set on a lush island filled with mysteries and crafting opportunities, with multiplayer elements, and farming on top.

The game is currently available in early access on Steam, but we’ll need to wait a bit longer to play on the Nintendo Switch, as it has a planned release for after the full release on PC – along with Xbox and PlayStation.

We’re suckers for a good wildlife game and farm game, so this definitely looks right up our streets and will be going on our wishlists.
