Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope pre-orders now bwahvailable

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope pre-orders are now available, and if you're curious about this game, we have an overview of what to expect from it

A group of Rabbids and Mario preparing for battle

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope pre-orders are now available, and as we saw in the June Nintendo Direct mini, this game is shaping up to be pretty fantastic. Not only can we look forward to the sleepy antics of Rabbid Rosalina, but we now also know that King Bowser Koopa himself will be a playable character.

So what do you need to know before you get those Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope pre-orders in? Well, it looks like it’s going this game is going to be an intergalactic storyline of some kind. Though we haven’t seen Rosalina herself, it looks as though this is going to be a story that draws heavily from Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, with starbits, Rabbid Rosalina, and new Rabbid versions of Lumas (called Sparks) making an appearance.

We don’t know too much about the actual plot yet outside of our Mario +Rabbids: Sparks of Hope preview, but it all seems pretty exciting as it looks far removed from the stories we usually get in Mario games these days, with a new enemy called Cursa as the antagonist. We’re speculating a little here, but it looks as though the game will be giving us Mario and Bowser working together to defeat a greater foe, as in Super Mario RPG, Super Paper Mario, and Paper Mario: The Origami King. And that’s wonderful.

As one final note, just as with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, this game will have a soundtrack composed by Grant Kirkhope. His work is well respected amongst video game fans, having done the soundtracks for Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee, and all the Banjo-Kazooie tracks for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope pre-orders

So far, we don’t know anything about whether or not this game will have a special edition. We wouldn’t like to rule it out, as Kingdom Battle had a version that came with a Rabbid Mario figure, although there’s no guarantee that the same will be done for this game. Either way, you can pre-order Sparks of Hope via the links below:

We don’t know exactly when this game is going to be released, but it is scheduled for 2022. Amazon lists it as December 31 2022, though this is almost certainly a placeholder, as Amazon will regularly add the last date of the year if it doesn’t know when specifically a game is coming out.
