What a pleasant surprise from today’s bumper Nintendo Direct  – an all-new Mario Golf game. Mario Golf: Super Rush, as it’s known, serves up an arcadey blend of golfing action, fun powerups, a speed golf multiplayer mode, and even an extensive story mode to work through.

It offers both motion and standard controls, giving you the best of both the classic Mario Golf playstyle and something akin to the much-loved Wii Sports. Ah, how we’d just love to see another. Maybe we will – today’s Nintendo Direct ain’t over yet.

Anywho, the best news of all is that Mario Golf: Super Rush is just around the corner, with it set to launch on June 25. That’s just four months away! Personally, we really can’t wait.
