Mario Kart Tour Halloween update goes Boo with new track

Mario Kart Tour’s Halloween celebration brings the GBA classic Boo Lake for some spooky fun in the Nintendo Switch’s hit mobile game spin-off

Nintendo has announced Mario Kart Tour’s Halloween event, bringing with it spooky costumes and the return of Boo Lake, the classic creepy course from Mario Kart: Super Circuit on the Game Boy Advance. The celebration kicks off on October 18 and ends on November 1, so make sure you’re ready.

The Mario Kart Tour Halloween celebration doesn’t just mark the return of a classic course, however. It also brings a bunch of boo-tiful cosmetics, including a pumpkin-headed Mario and witchy-looking Princess Peach getting dressed up for the occasion, as well as a Dry Bones outfit for your Mii. You can see the autumn roadmap over on Twitter.

Nintendo also released footage of Boo Lake in-game, taking to Twitter to share a clip of the pier floating atop a murky lake. All this comes after the Mario Kart Tour battle mode update, which brought the classic game mode to the mobile spin-off, alongside new maps like GCN Cookie Land and SNES Battle Course 4. You can check out a trailer for the spooky event below.
