Nintendo dedicated a good chunk of time to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope during its June 2022 Nintendo Direct Mini. Not only did we get to see some new aspects of the gameplay, but we also got a release date, and its set for October 20, 2022.

With this Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hopes release date, we see what looks to be a stacked October for Nintendo. Titles launching that month include No Man’s Sky, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Persona 5 Royal, and Nier: Automata. While there aren’t any first-party titles confirmed, Nintendo’s partners are bringing out all the big guns.

Mario + Rabbids is an unlikely character combination, bringing together Nintendo’s classic mascot with Ubisoft’s unruly and divisive Rabbids. While at first glance it might seem a bit odd, the original game, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle received great reviews at launch. Taking a lot of influence from XCOM, it put Mario into a strangely difficult game, which is a rare treat.

When is the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope release date?

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope launches onto Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2022. That means there’s not too long to wait until we get our hands on this unique blend of Mario action with tactical, grid-based gameplay.
