New Pokémon Snap trailer delivers six minutes of glorious gameplay

Lental region Pokemon

New Pokémon Snap‘s latest trailer serves up six whole minutes of glorious gameplay footage, albeit in Japanese. The New Pokémon Snap release date is set for April 30, so this might be one of our last big previews of what’s to come. Check it out below.

The original Pokémon Snap first launched all the way back in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and has remained one of the most well-liked Pokémon spin-offs of all time. New Pokémon Snap looks to build upon the solid foundations laid by its popular predecessor, introducing fresh mechanics and one of the series’ best-looking locales to date.

The sprawling Lental region is home to over 200 Pokémon and features beaches, jungles, and deserts to explore as you go about investigating the mysterious Illumina phenomenon. It’s a budding Pokémon photographer’s dream, and the fact that it’ll be here in a mere few weeks is very exciting indeed.

New Pokémon Snap is now available for pre-order for Nintendo Switch. It’s priced at $59.99/£49.99.
