We’ve been having a great time with the latest sporting outfit from Nintendo, and a large part of that is down to the Nintendo Switch Sports cosmetics. Playing online matches in any sports on offer rewards players with experience, and every hundred points allow you to choose from a few different themed cards. Choose your card, and a random cosmetic is unlocked, and eventually, a special bonus is on offer for completing the card.
So, what are the Nintendo Switch Sports cosmetics? Well, it seems at the moment Nintendo will be rotating between these themed cards, letting some slip out of the rotation as newer cards pop in. The game launched with a basic and a cute set, and now we are onto the cool and dark themed sets. Who knows what will arrive in the future, but Nintendo has also hinted at unique cosmetics being awarded for taking part in tournaments.
We won’t know for a while if older cosmetics will return, but hopefully, they do, as I’m sure some players won’t have the time to earn everything on offer within the regular one week time limit. We’re just hoping we manage to unlock the squirrel suit honestly!
Check out the launch trailer below to see exactly why we love Nintendo Switch Sports, and to see just how gorgeous it is in action.
When can I pick up new Nintendo Switch Sports cosmetics?
Nintendo will update Switch Sports with a new board of cosmetics every week. The boards contain twelve new items including fashion, sports equipment, reaction emojis, and player tags.
Earning every item on a single board will also unlock two special completion bonuses. Nintendo is also expected to give out special cosmetics in the future for participation in particular online tournaments, so, hopefully, we’ll have more information soon.

How to farm customisation points in Nintendo Switch Sports?
The quickest ways we have found to gain points are either in Chambara, as it is the quickest sport to complete a whole match in, and all matches score you at least 30 points out of the 100 needed to unlock something, regardless of winning or losing.
After that, we recommend being good at Bowling or Football as they reward you with more points for your success in the match. Bowling especially can reward you with near to or over 100 points as you move up the leagues and win matches.
