The Octopath Traveler mobile spin-off is holding a crossover event with Nier Automata, as showcased in some new videos from Square Enix. The three main characters from the hit RPG – 2B, 9S, and A2 – are up for grabs for a limited time, from today until March 17.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, currently only available in Japan, is a turn-based RPG similar to the original Nintendo Switch title. It’s free-to-play, with in-app purchases and gacha elements. There’s a western release set for summer 2022, so not too long to wait. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if they have a similar event after the western release, to make sure all of us Nier fans over here can get our hands on the much-loved characters.
If you’re looking to get early access to the western release, you can pre-register on the Google Play store.
