If you’ve been looking for a sleek, high performance gamepad for your Android phone, the wait is over. Introducing the Backbone PlayStation Edition for Android, the second PlayStation collaboration gamepad from Backbone. We had a lot to say about the iPhone version in our Backbone PlayStation Edition review.

Much like its older sibling which Backbone released in 2022, the Backbone PlayStation Edition for Android is modeled after the PS5’s DualSense controller including the classic button designs and icons. The PS Remote Play app recognizes it as a DualSense controller too, so you can easily play your favorite PS4 and PS5 titles on your Android device anywhere with an internet connection.

The accompanying Backbone app is also available now on Android devices. As well as featuring a dedicated content row filled with news and updates from PlayStation, this app puts your whole collection of controller-enabled games in one place. This includes mobile native games like Diablo Immortal and cloud games from services like SteamLink.

When is the Backbone PlayStation Edition for Android release date?

The Backbone PlayStation Edition for Android was released on May 23, 2023. Order it directly from Backbone now.
