In a statement made by The Pokémon Company International (the company responsible for the Pokémon brand outside of Asia), Kenji Okubo the president of The Pokémon Company International said “The Pokémon Company International is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the communities in which it operates and where Pokémon has been so warmly received since it was first introduced”.

While not much is known about the scheme yet, The Pokémon Company International has also declared it will additionally give out gifts of Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Center products where the charities are capable of distributing toys. This is a huge philanthropic mission from The Pokémon Company International and one that will surely help the lives of countless children around the world.

This is not the first time the company has acted in kindness either, as they previously donated $100,000 to Black Lives Matter in 2020.
