Pokémon Go fans, rejoice! This summer, Ultra Unlocks are back in Niantic’s AR title, and there’s more on offer than ever before. It’s all part of Pokémon Go Fest 2022, with live events taking place in Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo, but don’t worry if you can’t make it to the real thing, as almost all of the exciting opportunities are available for players worldwide.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022’s ultra unlocks mix up the classic ultra unlock formula too, offering players multiple opportunities to take part in suped-up challenges for valuable rewards. If you need an idea of the sort of ultra unlocks we’ve been treated to, last year we saw Pokémon Sword & Shield’s legendary duo Zacian and Zamazenta added to the game, so we’ve got high hopes for this year’s events.
To take part in the first upcoming event, players who aren’t local to Berlin, Seattle, or Sapporo can complete 20 global challenges to gain access to ultra unlocks in time for adventure week. While we have all this useful and important information, we’re still waiting to find out what the ultra unlocks will consist of, but it’s worth prepping your party and inventory now so as not to miss out
When are the Pokémon GO Fest 2022’s Ultra Unlock events?
The first part of Pokémon GO Fest 2022’s ultra unlocks event takes place during a two-day event on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5. For every hour of the day on Saturday, there will be a new global challenge, which if you complete enough will, in turn, give you access to the first ultra unlock during adventure week.
If you’re busy for those dates though, don’t worry too much, as the official Pokémon GO Fest 2022 page clearly states that more events will be popping up soon enough, and you know that we’ll cover them as soon as we get word.
