Dance ‘til you’re dead with the Crypt of the NercroDancer sequel

It’s looks like we’re going to lace up our dancing shoes again, with a Crypt of the NecroDancer sequel on the way, as well as more DLC for the original game

Good news, dungeon dancers! While revealing a fresh DLC offering for its original toe-tapping title, Brace Yourself Games has shared the news that a Crypt of the NecroDancer sequel, Rift of the NecroDancer, is officially on the way, bringing all of the rhythm and none of the blues.

All we know about the Crypt of the NercroDancer sequel so far is that it’s called Rift of the NecroDancer, and it carries the tagline “a new standalone game in the NecroDancer universe”, which doesn’t say much, but we’re excited anyway. While we don’t have a Rift of the NecroDancer release date, it’s noticeable that the word Rift in the logo is much more of a futuristic design, with noticeable vaporwave vibes, so we’re hoping for a twist on the NecroDancer world we know and love.

Of course, the Crypt of the NecroDancer sequel is exciting, but the new Synchrony DLC expansion is sure to get you on your dancing feet too. With three new characters to choose between when grooving through the underground, including Chaunter the dragon, there are more ways to boogie down in the depths of a dungeon.

It doesn’t stop there either, as you can now jump into the crypt with up to eight players dancing a collaborative conga against the evil that lurks. Or, if you want to really test yourself with a live dance-off against your friends, you can also try out the VS mode and see who really is the greatest mover and shaker.

With just a small teaser to go on, we’re still completely in the dark as to when a Rift of the NecroDancer release date might arrive. Fortunately, the new DLC means we won’t lose our sense of rhythm anytime soon, so we’ll all be ready to take to the floor when the sequel does arrive.
