Samsung ring wearable rumors have us very, very excited

Samsung ring rumors say that the Korean tech giant is working on an ECG and heart-monitoring device that could fit on your finger, and we can’t wait.

Some people love smartwatches, but some people don’t want a big bulky screen on their wrists. Well, these new Samsung ring rumors suggest that the Galaxy lineup could expand beyond the upcoming announcements at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 – getting a discrete smart device on your finger to track all manner of things, and it’s the sort of thing PT is very excited about.

As reported by The Elec (via SamMobile), Samsung is rumored to be working on a new Galaxy Ring, a device that would fit on your finger, pair with your phone, and keep track of various health metrics. As someone who has a smartwatch begrudgingly (no matter how hard you try, a smartwatch never looks formal), this is very exciting indeed.

Previous smart ring patents from Samsung suggest the device could include PPG and ECG sensors, which could track heart rate, blood pressure, and irregular heart rhythms, as reported by Naver. This report from The Elec highlights a different use, showing the device being used in tandem with smart glasses, in order to control a virtual screen.

All this is just rumor, however, so be sure to take it with a pinch of salt. Why not stick with something more solid and check out the latest Samsung wearable below?
