Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus tasks you with building a ragtag team of Tech-Priests and Skitarii to undertake missions that pull you deep into dark catacombs to fight tactics-based battles. The stakes feel high because the longer you spend dawdling in the dank tomb, the more difficulty modifiers stack in combat.
The strategy title is also written by Ben Counter, who you may know from the Horus Heresy novels: Galaxy in Flames and Battle for the Abyss. In our Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus iPad review, we called the game a “fun and flavourful 40k tactics game for iPad and Android tablets.”
