Zelda: TotK ultrahand creations are already getting out of hand

We knew that the Link-loving community would embrace the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ultrahand ability, but we didn’t quite anticipate this level of silliness.

It’s been less than a week since launch, but we’ve already seen countless, uh, imaginative Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ultrahand creations. From crucifying koroks to using phallic-shaped objects to knock down enemies, you lot really do seem to be fully embracing the sandbox nature of TotK.

If you don’t know, the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ultrahand ability turns Link into something of an engineer, constructing bridges, vehicles, and all manner of puzzle-solving contraptions in his quest to save Hyrule. Despite the obvious intentions behind ultrahand, some Zelda fans are using it for what we’ll call unseemly means, turning Link’s epic quest into a bumper episode of Looney Tunes.

Our personal favourites from the ultrahand creations we’ve seen across the internet so far include a massive stick man with flames coming from where flames should never come from, a korok barbeque, and someone using a makeshift phallus to beat down a massive monster. Zelda creations compilations are already arriving on YouTube, so be sure to take ten minutes out of your Hyrulian adventure to get some inspiration.

In another interesting turn of events, players seem to be turning against getting inventive with creations when they can use a bridge instead. Need to get across something? Bridge. Need to get up something? Vertical bridge. Need to beat up an enemy? Build yourself a massive bridge, throw it around in the air a bit using ultrahand, then reverse time with recall and watch as your mighty walkway takes down a monster. So, who needs the Master Sword when you’ve got a trusty old bridge?
