BotW amiibo and what they do in Zelda

Find out more about the Breath of the Wild amiibo rewards with our handy guide, so you know how to get all the latest goodies in Nintendo's hit Switch title

One of the main features to explore in Hyrule is Breath of the Wild’s amiibo scanning, usage, and the ability to acquire exclusive rewards such as legendary equipment or companions, like Wolf Link and Epona from previous Legend of Zelda iterations. You can scan each BotW amiibo once a day to yield the player exclusive rewards not available in any other way.

If you don’t have Link amiibo or only ones from other games, don’t worry, you’re able to scan every available amiibo into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Non-Zelda amiibo will give you an assortment of rewards to help Link early on in his journey with cooking ingredients such as a variety of shrooms, meat, herbs, and safflina.

Now, let’s take a look at every BotW amiibo, as well as other Link amiibo and ones from other games in the series, and the exclusive rewards you can earn.

Depending on the amiibo you choose to scan you will receive different items, such as swords, axes, halberds, spears, shields, arrows, bows, and potentially materials, such as amber, opal, flint, diamond, ancient core, star fragment, or even ingredients like fish, fruit, meat, shrooms, vegetables, and plants with different rarity percentages.
