Hogwarts Legacy pre-order cancellations are making people mad

Hogwarts Legacy pre-orders are being cancelled only a few days after they opened, with the wizarding world set to come to the Nintendo Switch this year

Hogwarts Legacy pre-order cancellations are happening on Xbox and PlayStation according to chatter on Twitter, and people sure aren’t happy. The wizard game has already seen its fair share of controversy, and it clearly isn’t ending here.

The tweets are everywhere: “Microsoft cancelled my pre-order”, “PlayStation took it upon themselves to cancel my preorder without consent”, and so on. Some are even wondering if the game has been cancelled again. With no statement from any of the platform holders or developer WB Games, it’s hard to know what’s going on.

There’s a possibility that it’s just a technical issue, or some of the more conspiratorial among you may be inclined to believe it signifies something about the game. Maybe the platform holders just learned about the original creator’s awful views on trans people and decided to deplatform the game, that’d be cool! There’s no way of knowing, but we’ll keep you abreast of any more news as soon as it comes up.
