An Honor Magic V2 event is set for the first day of IFA 2023, opening the hundred-year-old trade show that’s returning to Berlin in September. While the phone’s previous iteration didn’t make the cut for the best foldable phones in our books, the successor seems like it could push things forward, having launched in China earlier this year. We’re all but certain that this event will announce the Honor Magic V2’s global launch.
The Honor Magic V2 is a tablet-style foldable with bags of exciting specs alongside it: 120Hz OLED displays both inside and out, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a three camera setup with a 50MP main camera, and a ridiculous 16GB of RAM. It’s also got an ultra-thin design, good-looking build, and the possibility to undercut big competitors like Samsung and Google.
Of course, all that Honor has announced is an event called ‘Unfold Tomorrow’ – with a big V symbol in the centre of angled light on the poster. The two angles of light on the poster could actually be anything; in fact, the one on the right looks like a flip foldable, not tablet-style. So, while we expect the Honor Magic V2’s global launch, we may see more than just that.
When is the Honor Magic V2 IFA 2023 event?
Honor’s ‘Unfold Tomorrow’ IFA 2023 Keynote takes place on September 1, 2023, at 04:00 EDT / 09:00 BST. We assume the company will stream the show on its YouTube channel, which you can check out below.
