What is the Master Detective Archives: Rain Code gameplay like?

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code is a ‘lucid-noir detective adventure’ game, which boasts a brilliant blend of visual novel, adventure, and action game mechanics. As expected of the brilliant minds behind the Danganronpa series, it revolves around a deliciously dark, mystery narrative, where you take the role of a young man called Yuma, who works alongside his ghosty pal Shinigami to solve cases in the name of the Master Detectives from the World Detective Organization.

However, unlike the static nature of Danganronpa, you have the freedom to explore the fully 3D Kanai Ward – a city of rain gripped by innumerable unsolved mysteries. Find Solution Keys, engage in thrilling, turn-based battles, and use your noggin to piece together the clues and finally close those cases.

As you progress in your investigation, a realm called the Mystery Labyrinth appears, leading you to the truth. Inside, you can challenge a wide variety of gimmicks and traps as a part of an ever-changing maze. The monstrous Mystery Phantoms will try to stop you from unveiling the truth, but it’s up to you to dodge their claims and slash through contradictions with the solution blade.
