As with every generation of Pokemon, a litany of held items debut in Scarlet and Violet, helping to add even more depth to the decision-making process in building a competitive team. So, we’ve listed all the held items new to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet below, just in case you wanted to try out something different. 

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet held item Effect Pokémon 
Booster Energy Boost the power of paradox 
Ability Shield Your ability cannot be changed 
Clear Amulet Your stats cannot be lowered 
Mirror Herb Mirror an opponent’s stat increase once 
Punching Glove Boosts punching moves and protects from contact abilities like Poison Point 
Covert Cloak Protects from the additional effects of moves (for example, no burn from Scald) 
Loaded Dice  Multistrike moves hit more times 

Outside of these new held items, all the classics return for Scarlet and Violet. This goes for the “Power” items that help with EV training, to classic battle items like Leftovers and White Herb.
