You can access Pokémon Scarlet and Violet picnics via the pause menu once you’ve progressed past the intro and to the lighthouse, this takes approximately 60-90 minutes.

If you want to try your hand at Pokémon Scarlet and Violet breeding you must have two Pokémon in your party from the same egg group and, of course, ensure they’re each a different gender (unless you happen to have a Ditto, this lil blob can breed with anyone they choose).
