It’s rare to find a puzzle game formula that feels truly original. We have cryptic puzzles, word puzzles, number puzzles – pretty much every kind of puzzle game you could dream of on mobile. So when a puzzle game comes along that feels fresh, it’s hard not to sit up and take notice. Rip Them Off is a corporate satire game where you build stores in busy cities to fleece shoppers of all their cash. It sounds relatively simple, but Rip Them Off employs rhythm, as you try to match your store type to the frequency of passing shoppers.
Rip Them Off also has a wonderful Saul Bass-inspired art style, and a jazzy soundtrack, which gives the game a somewhat improvisational feel as you trial-and-error your way to building the perfect chain of stores.
